Sample Cue Card Answer

I was 10 years old when I got my first taste of the dreaded antibiotic. I had come down with a nasty case of strep throat, and my parents took me to the doctor. I'll never forget the smell of that office – a mix of disinfectant and stale air. The doctor prescribed me a bottle of pink liquid that looked like something from a science experiment. I was mortified. My mom had to bribe me with ice cream just to get me to take the first dose.

The medicine tasted like someone had mixed battery acid with fruit punch. I gagged on the first sip, and my mom had to hold me down to get me to finish it. I was convinced that this was some kind of cruel joke. But, as the days went by, I started to feel better. The soreness in my throat began to fade, and I could swallow without wincing. It was like magic.

Looking back, I realize that medicine isn't just about swallowing a pill or drinking some gross-tasting liquid. It's about trust – trust in the people who made it, trust in the doctor who prescribed it, and trust in the process. It's about believing that something will work, even when it tastes awful or feels weird. And it's about the people who support us through the tough times, like my mom, who held me down and made me take that first dose.

What do you think about buying medicine online? I think buying medicine online can be a convenient option for people who have trouble getting to a physical pharmacy or live in remote areas. For instance, I have a friend who lives in a rural area and has to drive for hours to get to the nearest pharmacy. She's started buying her medication online and it's been a game-changer for her. She can just order what she needs and have it shipped right to her doorstep. Of course, there are some risks involved, like making sure you're buying from a reputable seller and following the proper dosage instructions. But overall, I think buying medicine online can be a great option for people who need it.

In your opinion, why do some people dislike taking medicine? I think some people dislike taking medicine because they're worried about the potential side effects. My grandmother, for example, was always hesitant to take her medication because she was afraid of how it would interact with her other health conditions. She'd always ask her doctor a million questions about what could happen if she took this or that pill. And I think that's a valid concern. But what I've learned is that it's all about weighing the pros and cons. If the benefits of taking the medicine outweigh the risks, then it's usually worth it. But I get why people would be hesitant - it's scary to put something in your body that could potentially cause harm.

Some people say medicine is harmful. Do you think so? I don't think medicine is inherently harmful. I mean, sure, there are some medications that have negative side effects, but that's not unique to medicine. Lots of things in life have risks associated with them. What I think is important is that people are aware of those risks and make informed decisions about their health. My mom, for example, takes a medication that has some pretty serious side effects, but for her, the benefits far outweigh the risks. She's able to manage her condition and live a normal life because of that medication. So, I think it's all about perspective - medicine can be incredibly helpful when used properly.

What do you think of fake medicine? I think fake medicine is a huge problem. I've heard stories about people buying medication online that turns out to be counterfeit, and it's just terrifying. Not only can it not work, but it can also cause serious harm. I think it's so important for people to be careful about where they're buying their medication from and to do their research. I've even heard of some fake medications that have actually been made from toxic substances - it's just unbelievable. I think it's crucial that we crack down on counterfeit medication and make sure people have access to safe, effective treatments.
