Sample Answers
Where did/do you go to school? I went to high school in my hometown, which was a pretty typical suburban school with a diverse student body. I really liked it because it was close to my house, so I could walk or bike there, and it had a great reputation for its extracurricular programs, which I was really into.
Did/do you go to a good school? Yeah, I think so. I mean, it wasn't perfect, but it had a lot of great teachers who really cared about their students, and the facilities were pretty modern. Plus, it was a safe and supportive environment, which I think is really important for learning. I felt like I got a solid education there.
Did/do you like your teachers? Most of them, yeah. I had a few favorites who really stood out, like my English teacher, Mrs. Johnson. She was super passionate about literature and made the subject come alive for me. I also appreciated how she took the time to get to know each of us as individuals and gave us personalized feedback on our writing.
Did/do you like the learning atmosphere? Definitely. The school had a pretty relaxed vibe, but still, everyone was pretty focused on their studies. I liked that it wasn't too competitive, though - people were more collaborative than cutthroat. Plus, the classrooms were pretty well-equipped, and we had access to some great resources, like a state-of-the-art science lab.
What are/were the differences between your school and other schools? Well, one thing that set my school apart was its emphasis on community service. We had a required volunteer program, which I really appreciated because it got me out of my comfort zone and helped me develop some valuable skills. I also think our school was more laid-back than some of the other schools in the area, which I liked.
Is there anything you would change about your school? Actually, yeah. I wish we'd had more elective options, especially in the arts. I was really interested in photography, but we only had one class, and it was always full. I think offering more electives would've helped students explore their interests and passions more.
