Sample Answers

How you you celebrate public holidays or festivals in your country? In my country, we usually celebrate public holidays and festivals with family gatherings and traditional foods. For example, on Independence Day, we have a big barbecue with friends and family, and we watch the fireworks display at night. It's a great way to bond with loved ones and feel a sense of community. We also exchange gifts and cards to show appreciation for one another.

What kind of special food and activities do you have on these occasions? On special occasions like Thanksgiving, we have a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings, like mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie. We also play games like touch football and watch American football games on TV. It's a really fun and relaxing way to spend time with family and friends. And on Halloween, we have a big costume party and go trick-or-treating in the neighborhood.

What’s your favorite festival / public holiday? My favorite holiday is definitely Christmas. I love the festive atmosphere and the feeling of giving and receiving gifts. We always decorate the house with lights and a tree, and we have a big dinner with all the family. It's a time for us to come together and show appreciation for each other.

How do you celebrate it? On Christmas, we wake up early and open our gifts from Santa, and then we have a big breakfast together as a family. After that, we spend the day playing games and watching movies together. We also go for a walk around the neighborhood to look at the holiday lights and decorations. It's a really special day that I always look forward to.
